Building upon the success of the University of Rhode Island's Summer Institute in Digital Literacy (SIDL), we are thrilled to offer a new approach to online professional learning experience for educators who want to advance their expertise in media literacy education -- but also need the flexibility and low cost of online learning.

TIME: Wednesdays, 7-9 PM and other times that are convenient for your busy schedule (total weekly time commitment is 4 hours)

Join a vibrant cohort of educators, activists, and community leaders from across the country and around the world to share your passions and develop your expertise in media literacy in a 6-week online journey, customized to meet your needs. You’ll engage in dialogue with colleagues and experts,explore topics that interest you, and deepen your knowledge and skills in media literacy, both theoretically and practically. Throughout the institute, you’ll experience “the power of two” to work with a partner, creating a product that advances your leadership in media literacy education.
